Superstar Al-Nassr Ronaldo has won the Saudi Pro League Golden Boot for the 2023/24 season, thereby breaking an unprecedented record in history.
In the match to welcome Al Ittihad, Al Nassr won with a score of 4-2. Three players scored for host Al Nassr including Cristiano Ronaldo (double), Ghareeb and Al Nemer.
Thus, Ronaldo closed the Saudi League season 2023/24 with 35 goals. Not only did he win the top scorer title, CR7 also broke the record for scoring the most goals in a season in the Saudi Arabian National Championship set by Hamdallah in the 2018/19 season (scoring 34 goals).
Not only that, Ronaldo also became the first player to win the title of top scorer in 4 different national leagues, including Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Saudi League.
Two days after the victory over Al-Ittihad, Ronaldo was awarded the Saudi League Golden Shoe title. This is the 21st time in his career that CR7 has won the title of top scorer in a national championship.
Currently, Ronaldo is actively practicing to prepare for the King’s Cup final against Al Hilal on June 1. Due to failures in the AFC Champions League, Saudi Super Cup and Saudi League arenas, the King’s Cup is the only title Al Nassr has a chance to win this season.
Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo’s team did not have a good record when facing Jorge Jesus’ team. In 4 previous meetings, including a friendly match, Al Hilal won 3 and drew 1 match. It is worth mentioning that Ronaldo never scored against Al Nassr in those matches. Fans are hoping he can “break the ice”.
