Travis Kelce is entering the 2024 NFL season with a striking new haircut – and fans have brutally ripped into his controversial look.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are kicking off the new season against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead on Thursday night, with Andy Reid’s team aiming for a historic ‘three-peat’ after winning a second straight Super Bowl last term.

It promises to be a dramatic night in Kansas City, where Taylor Swift is in attendance to watch her man Travis in action.

And ahead of kickoff, fans were left in astonishment when Kelce emerged from the tunnel sporting a new fringe haircut.

As the legendary tight end warmed up on the field, users on X mocked him over the ‘terrible’ new style – which earned him comparisons to Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis.

One wrote: ‘Travis Kelce went to the barber and said “Just f**k my shit up fam”‘.

Another posted about Kelce’s new cut: ‘Can’t control my laugh’.

A third referenced the Raiders chief and said: ‘Travis Kelce out here with the Mark Davis cut’.

‘Brutal haircut for Travis Kelce coming into the season,’ a fourth commented.

‘This haircut for real is terrible,’ said another before adding, ‘but I mean he’s got Taylor and none us do so there’s that.’

A fifth put: ‘We’re not sure who wins tonight’s game. But we know Travis Kelce’s haircut lost.’

‘From the Super Bowl to the bowl cut,’ joked another.

While one simply concluded: ‘Barber did him dirty’.

Kelce – whose representatives were forced to deny that he and Swift have plans to split this week after a fake ‘contract’ surfaced on social media – is entering his 12th season with the Chiefs in 2024.

At the age of 34, Patrick Mahomes believes his teammate is now being influenced by his girlfriend in the style department.

Mahomes said about Kelce in a recent interview with NFL Radio: ‘You got the old man (Kelce). I’ve been trying to get him to grow his hair out and all of a sudden, Taylor gets him to do it.’

Swift attended all four Kansas City playoff victories last season in different cities, wearing a No 87 bomber jacket designed by fellow NFL WAG Kristin Juszczyk during the Wild Card game against the Miami Dolphins.

The pop megastar was seen arriving at Arrowhead on Thursday night wearing a stunning denim outfit, before taking her seat in the Kelces’ private suite alongside Travis’ dad Ed.
